Apparently I have a problem with gambling.
Yes - I haven't picked a winner over the last 5 weeks.
No - I don't bet everyday.
Yes - Probably dropped around $500 over this time period.
It is Melbourne Cup on Tuesday.
I have always loved gambling on the horses. Lately I have lost the thrill of the win (cause I haven't picked a winner).
I hate fucking Bingo. We went on Thursday after Ang pestered me for an hour or so.
She goes twice (sometimes 3 times) a week.
Yet I have a gambling problem ??
The thrill for me is raking in $$$ to support my kids / Ang.
I already feel like a piece of shit for losing over the past 5 weeks. Sometimes I want to throw a chair into the wall.
I go quiet when I lose. Don't want to talk. Have to bite my tongue when Ang brings up "yet another donkey".
I admit - I have always had a problem with gambling.
Out of all of Life's addictions - It is the hardest (if not the hardest) to walk away from.
When winning money is involved the hook is bigger and sinks deeper into your skin.
Fuck you TAB.
We all decide which of these is most relevant in any situation. It's all in the genomes...

Blurgh
Busy busy.
Worked a few hours last week. Did close 3 out of 4 nights and lunchtime Friday. It isn't a glamorous job but the you do get a buzz from not knowing what to expect or what is going to happen next. Did very poorly in tips though. Sometimes it's ching-ching but I bombed majorly the week just gone. Have to start turning my frown upside down. Then again some customers tip no matter what and vice versa. No matter how bright and bubbly you are.
Cricket was disappointing for the guys this weekend. Chasing 113 we were bowled out for 105. 3 runouts and 3 ducks (myself included) did not help matters. I was only out there for 3 balls. Got an inswinger yorker that I missed and which took the base of off stump. I did keep well and even though the legs and back aren't what they used to be I do enjoy myself behind the stumps. I challenge myself and find it enjoyable being in the game. My batting has really slipped from a few years ago. Might just have to slog my arse off for the rest of the year and see what comes of it.
Ang was busy at two markets over the weekend. Yarragon on Saturday and then Morwell on Sunday. She enjoys it and I have no qualms looking after the billy lids even though at times it can be very taxing doing it solo. Jessica can really push your buttons at times. But on the whole she is a good little girl. I looked after them both last night whilst Ang was Bingo-bongo-ing and have a relatively stress free night. I even gave Ava a bottle at 1am as I was still up watching 'A Beautiful Mind'. Stupid good late night movies.
I have become a fan of the Showtime series "Weeds". Very witty and something right out of left field. I will make time to watch it every week. I only enjoy a few shows and this is at the top. Good laugh - check it out.
My moods have been a bit low of late. But I take a med and usually pick up over the following days.

J Roll hammers Broxton
Was watching it live on MLB.com yesterday afternoon (3pm Aussie Time) and went troppo when Jimmy slammed All Star closer Broxton's 99mph fastball into the hole in centre field to bring home Bruntlett and "Chooch" Ruiz to beat LA in the bottom of the ninth.
Never say die attitude looks like back to back World Series appearances for the Phils.

Stuff happens
Oi.
Overheard this from two drunk guys stumbling along the footpath whilst walking back to my car on a pizza delivery last night.
"She loves it when I stick a finger or two up her arse man. Especially when I'm fucking her from behind. Nah man - she loves it. Goes off tap man"
Had some dramas working Friday lunch time as well. We deliver a pretty big order to Hazelwood Power Station (which supplies 60% of Victoria's power). Usually you show your HP pass card, security guard notes your registration number and gives you a pass to enter the grounds. Didn't happen on Friday. As soon as I walked into the security gatehouse I knew there was going to be trouble. The security guard looked me up and down and I told him I had a delivery.
"Where are you from?" He asked.
"Pizza Boys" I replied.
As the conversation continued I could see that this arse clown wasn't going to let me in.
"Usually you have to wait at the gates" He said.
"Yeah during the night we do. But Friday lunch we go straight through the gates and onto reception" I stated.
"Nope. Not going to happen." As he continued to look me up and down.
"What ? Do you think I'm gonna blow the Power Station up ??" At this stage I was getting very pissed off.
Security Twat nodded his head, smirked and said "Yep".
Anyway - long story short the blokes had to come out from reception and collect their order behind the security gates. In pouring rain. They were not happy. All the while Security Twat puffed on his ciggie and was smirking in my direction.
Next week I'm going to make sure I wrap a towel around my head when I deliver down there. Dickhead.
Apart from that nothing new has really happened. Same day same shite. Ang is off marketing today. I'm looking after Jessica and then taking Jaiden to work. The last two nights I have worked till midnight. I was absolutely hammered at close last night. I was talking to Ang on the mobile and started looking for my mobile. Thought I had lost it. Clicked - yeah I'm talking on it right now. I was very tired and not thinking at all. Blonde moment perhaps. Hehe.

Week
Another week rolls on by.
Have been busy working. It's going well. Always come home from work in a better mood. Good company (most of the time) and free pizza make the night fun.
Played cricket yesterday. Yet another comprehensive thrashing of an opponent. I didn't get to bat and took 1 catch when we bowled. We won by 140 odd runs. Good start to the season 2 from 2.
My moods have been stable of late. Had a bad day on Wednesday (no reason for it) but had a great day yesterday. I'm taking my meds in the night now. Seems to be working.
Family life progresses. Ang did a pregnancy test on Friday. I was sure she was. Came back negative. Ang might also have another illness. Myasthenia Gravis. It is a Neuromuscular disease. Not 100% sure at this stage but she certainly ticks a few boxes. She is off to see a specialist in early December. Fingers crossed there.
Kids are all good. No complaints there.

Birthdays Galore
3 birthdays in 10 days.
Paige's birthday was Tuesday (turned 10). Got a boatload of goodies. I took her tenpin bowling in the afternoon which was fun.
Jessica's birthday was Wednesday (turned 2). Got a massive swag of things. Ang took her and the other girls off to Traralgon fun centre in the arvo. I stayed home. They had fun.
I worked Monday, Tuesday, Friday lunch, Friday night and again last night (Saturday). Total of 19.5 hours for the week. I was buggered on Friday night and the even worse last night. Lack of sleep and cricket yesterday make the nights awfully long and tiresome. Especially after 9PM when things start to die down in the shop.
Cricket yesterday at Thorpdale. They were last years Premiers. We destroyed them by 180 odd runs. We batted first and made 226 off 47 overs. Jez (53), Judda (43), Duane (45no) and myself(34 in about 24 balls) all got some runs to start the year. We then bowled them out for 40 odd. They did have 4 young kids playing and we pretty much had a full strength team. Bodes well for the season. One weak link I can see is our 1st and 2nd change bowlers. Nowhere as good as last year.
Apart from that it has been awfully hectic the last week or so. Ang and myself are pretty run down yet somehow still manage to run the house and stay happy.
The billy lids go back to school this week as well. School holidays are extremely punishing on parents.
